🎄 Christmas Break Activities for Kids

Christmas is a wonderful time, but it can also be very stressful. The kids are out of school and absolutely wired about Christmas. You might feel so overwhelmed that you can't think of how to manage everything. Here are just a few easy, fun things to do together to enjoy, reflect on the beauty of the season, and also help the kids understand the importance of family, friends, and giving, not just the gifts under the tree.

✉️ Write Letters to Santa – Encourage gratitude along with wish lists.

🎨 Make Homemade Christmas Cards – Use paper, stickers, and glitter for creative fun.

📚 Christmas Storytime – Read classics like The Night Before Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or The Polar Express. Add blankets and hot cocoa for extra coziness.

🎬 Christmas Movie Night – Cozy up with popcorn and classics like Elf or The Polar Express.

🎨DIY Salt Dough Ornaments – Bake, paint, and hang keepsakes on the tree.

🌟 Go Christmas Light Spotting –Drive or walk to admire neighborhood displays.   🏠 Build a Gingerbread House – Decorate with icing and candy (and sneak a bite!).

🍪 Bake Christmas Cookies – Cut out shapes, decorate, and save some for Santa.

🎶 Christmas Dance Party – Create a holiday playlist and dance in the living room  🎅 Visit Santa Claus – Capture the magic with photos and share wishes.

🎲 Host a Family Game Night – Play Christmas bingo, trivia, or board games with

a holiday twist.

🎁 Donate Toys & Clothes – Teach kids generosity by giving to families in need.

👕 Christmas Pajama Day – Stay cozy all day with movies, cocoa, and relaxation.

☕ Hot Chocolate Bar – Set up toppings like marshmallows, candy canes, and

whipped cream.

📖 Read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas – Make it a cozy Christmas Eve

tradition.
